Dear AAUW Naperville Area Friends,

As with many events during this global crisis, we have canceled our June 2020 AAUW Used Book Sale out of concern for our customers, community members and volunteers. We know that this has been a difficult time for you as well. Thank you to everyone who donated items and graciously worked to plan this event.

For over 50 years the annual Book Sale has been an important fundraiser for AAUW, and a popular start to the summer in Naperville. While we have every intention of bringing the event back in 2021, we need your help now to continue to advance gender equity for women and girls.

The 2020 sale would have supported:

* our 2021 Angeline Gale Scholarship to help a mature woman obtain her college degree;
* NCCWSL scholarships to provide leadership training for local women college students;
* salary negotiation training to help close the pay gap;
* and more research, education and advocacy initiatives at local, state and national levels.

We may have lost the Book Sale, but we won’t stop working on behalf of women and their families. We hope we can count on you for a donation and to help us to spread the word. Please share this GoFundMe with your friends.
