AAUW Naperville Area is honored to recognize Kimberly White as our 2022 Woman of the Year for her exceptional leadership in community service and in advancing equity. She will be honored at the AAUW Naperville Area Awards Brunch at Cress Creek Country Club on Saturday, May 14.
Kimberly White is the executive director of the Career & Networking Center — a non-profit organization that provides job search support to individuals in career transition. She is passionate about serving the needs of clients including millennials, more seasoned workers, and everyone in-between. Kim says, “At the end of the day, I am incredibly proud to be part of an organization that has helped thousands of individuals in job search to land their next success.”
Kim is actively involved in the community, serving as director on the boards of the Indian Prairie Education Foundation, Naperville Neighbors United and Turning Pointe Autism Foundation. In 2020, Kim was asked to chair the newly formed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. She also is the president elect of the Rotary Club of Naperville and will take over as president in July 2022.
Kim has been recognized as “Woman of the Month” by Women in Business of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and “Women in Leadership” by the Glen Ellyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In 2019, Kim co-authored her first and “more than likely” her last book, Adulting Made Easy(er) – Navigating from Campus to Career. Written for Gen Y, Gen Z and their parents, the book focuses on getting students on the right path to a successful and fulfilling career. Kim married her high school sweetheart, Benny, in 1987. They have two adult children.
