Our community events educate on important issues and encourage action for positive change. Events are open to the public unless noted. We host a mix of in-person and virtual events.

April 24, 2024 (Weds) 6:30 pm – Beyond Borders: A Forum on New Arrivals and Asylum Seekers

Feb. 13, 2024 (Tues) 7 p.m. Virtual – My STEM Journey Tales from the Life of a Female Social Neuroscientist with Karen J. Parker, Ph.D.
Jan. 9, 2024 (Tues) 7 p.m. Virtual – Civil Liberties and the Supreme Court with Ed Yohnka, ACLU of Illinois.
Dec. 12, 2023 (Tues) 6:30 p.m. – Holiday Trolley and Treats.

Nov. 14, 2023 (Tues) 7 p.m. Virtual – Debunking Gun Violence Myths with Devin Hughes of GVPedia.
Oct. 19 – 21, 2023 – Celebrating AAUW – Reaching New Heights Together: AAUW Central States Regional Conference, Drury Plaza Hotel, St. Louis, MO. Register by Sept. 16.
Oct. 11, 2023 (Weds) 7 p.m. – Running While Making the Bed: The Double Bind of Women’s Political Ambition in the United States, Naper Blvd Library, 2035 Naper Blvd., Naperville. Speaker: Dr. Suzanne Chod, Professor of Political Science, Coordinator of Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Coordinator for Interdisciplinary Connections at North Central College.
Sept. 9, 2023 (Sat) 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. – Take a Morning Break with AAUW get-together at the DuPage River Park shelter, 808 Royce Road, Naperville. Members and prospective members welcome.
