AAUW Naperville Area Scholarships
For over 50 years AAUW Naperville Area has funded scholarships to help women pursue higher education. Scholarships for 2024 have been awarded — meet the amazing recipients – Diana Rangel and Magda Walsh.
The application process for 2025 scholarships will begin in January 2025. Please watch for announcements.
Applicants for the scholarship must reside in or attend school in DuPage, Will, Kendall or Kane Counties in Illinois. The scholarship can be awarded to part-time as well as full-time students who are in traditional or accelerated programs. Candidates may already be receiving financial aid.
The scholarship committee will choose several finalists to interview based upon their applications and personal statements. Official transcripts will be required of all finalists. Selections for scholarship awards will be made by April 30. Funds for these awards will be available shortly thereafter and will be forwarded directly to the college or university in which the awardees are enrolled. The scholarship recipient also must be able to attend our awards brunch in May.
NOTE: In all cases where we use the terms “woman,” “women” or “girls,” our intent is to include the category “non-binary presenting person.“
