AAUW-IL Fall Conference Recap

Graphic of autumn leaves and chalkboard containing Fall Conference date and registration linkOver 80 AAUW members from 23 branches around Illinois joined the virtual AAUW-IL Fall Conference on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, from 9 – 11 AM. Attendees included branch leaders, aspiring leaders, and AAUW-IL state board members.

Tina Hinch, Betsy Covell and Laurie Barsotti from Naperville Area Branch’s own 1948 Project team guided participants through an interactive Introduction to Artificial Intelligence using engaging videos and games to share key concepts. 1948 Project presented a version of this AI unit during the summer at AAUW’s STEMEd for Girls program for middle and high school students.

Attendees also attended breakout sessions led by AAUW-IL state board members on strategic alliances, school board advocacy, programming, AAUW’s Community Hub, and social media marketing.
